Job description

The Schedule Manager for Sizewell C Nuclear Island is a key role in the SZC NI project organisation, within Edvance and EPR-E, and will be responsible for the scheduling activities across the entire NI project scope. This role is based in the UK with frequent travels to France and involves both managerial and operational responsibilities. The Schedule Manager will report directly to the SZC NI Head of Project Control.

Key Responsibilities:

Managerial:

Lead and manage the scheduling team, ensuring effective staffing, training, and resource management for both the UK and France teams.
Monitor and oversee team performance, including team members from both local mother companies and partners, within the defined scheduling scope.
Operational:

·       Create and maintain an accurate schedule of the SZC NI scope with a strategy based on a very strong replication of HPC design.

·       Oversee and direct the Project Control Cycle (PCC) from a scheduling perspective. It includes level 2/3/4 misalignment follow-up in terms of structure (WBS/OBS) and time.

·       Identify and generate internal and external schedule interfaces in consistency with the contract.

Monitor all key milestones and associated margins.
Ensure timely and quality updates of all planning levels, including production and analysis of key performance indicators and monthly reporting.
Contribute to the production of Earned Value Management indicators in collaboration with the cost control team with appropriate checks and alerts.
Manage the monthly publication of schedule baselines.
Oversee the administration of the P6 scheduling software for the SZC project, including access rights and database management.
Identify key processes for schedule team and ensure they are formally documented.
Interfaces:

Be the primary contact for all internal and external stakeholders regarding SZC NI scheduling.
Work effectively with the other schedule managers within the wider SZC project.
Strong links to the other Project Controls teams: PMO, Cost & Change Management, Risk & Opportunities Management, as well as the Commercial & Contracts team.
Collaborate with the EPO (Edvance Project Office) in France on scheduling matters.

Profile

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and guide a diverse team.
Excellent communication and networking abilities, capable of working with multi-site teams and within a complex ecosystem.
Proficiency in scheduling methods and tools, such as Primavera P6 and Paladin (Planisware).
Demonstrated autonomy, a proactive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesise information effectively.
Knowledge of the nuclear industry and its specific context is an asset.
Languages (level)

·       English fluent (required)

·       French is a bonus
