We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the efficient operation of our warehouse. Your primary duties will include receiving and storing goods, preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and check incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Inspect and verify received goods against purchase orders or invoices
- Sort and store merchandise in designated areas in an organized manner
- Label and tag items, ensuring accurate tracking and identification
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items
- Use manual and automated equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move and transport goods within the warehouse
- Maintain inventory and stock records, including accurately updating computer systems or paperwork
- Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile any discrepancies
- Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and annual inventories
- Ensure proper packaging and crating of items to prevent damage during transportation
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals and meet customer demands
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and transport companies as needed
- Care and maintenance of stored items
The role is subject to the site agreement payment scheme.
