Job description
Due to our ongoing growth, we are recruiting a Project Scheduler on a Full time, Permanent contract to support our Fuel team. Framatome is implementing a new factory for the assembly of fuels for the operation of nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom. This plant will be built in phases to meet short, medium and long-term objectives.
The Project Scheduler will be required to manage, develop and update the schedule for the full Project scope. The role is to lead the Owner schedule and monitor EPCM schedules on their scope of work, ensuring that interfaces are properly managed. You will be directly managed by the Project Management Officer, in charge of the project controls.
Key activities will include:
- Create, monitor, and analyse the Level 1 (Full project duration), and Level 2 schedule (12-18 months term) on the full project scope in accordance with standards and best project practices
- Integrate and monitor EPCM lower levels schedules and the corresponding interfaces
- Monitor project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
- Analyse activities on the critical path to identify the possible impact of delays, analyse deviations and propose appropriate actions
- Follow up on project milestones, alert in case of delays and participate in the definition of the recovery plan
- Determine the Project physical progress and Earned Value Management and analyse the results
- Quantify planning impacts in the event of changes in the scope of the contract
- Contribute to periodic schedule reports and KPI’s analysis
- Actively participates to the scheduling community
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods & tools
Profile
To be considered, the following skills and experience is required:
- Degree qualified
- Engineering or technical background
- Project management with scheduling experience
- Experience on a major industrial project
- Experience of Microsoft Project and timeline pro
- Understanding of civil works, site master planning and Electro-mechanical engineering sequence of activities
- Understanding of Licensing and permitting activities is advantageous
