Job description

The Operations Assistant will support the procurement process by raising and processing purchase requisitions in SAP, coordinating with internal departments and suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of goods and services in line with company policies and guidelines.

Profile

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and raise purchase requisitions in SAP for goods and services.
  • Ensure all purchase requisitions are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements and budget approvals
  • Liaise with internal departments to clarify specifications, requirements, and approvals
  • Track and monitor the status of requisitions and follow up with project owners
  • Assist the procurement team with supplier communication, quotation requests, and quality issues
  • Manage the Goods-in procedure to ensure correct allocation to projects and general stock
  • Maintain procurement records in SAP and keep accurate project records
  • Support invoice matching and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and company procedures
  • Provide administrative support to the procurement team as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
  • Experience with SAP preferable  
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team player with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
