Installed Base BU is in charge for Framatome's nuclear engineering and services for operating nuclear plants, for new build projects and for installations in decommissioning phase.

Due to our ongoing growth in the UK, we are looking to recruit a HSE Manager to be based on site at Hinkley Point C.
As a member of Framatome HPC Project Site Team, the HSE Manager reports to the Framatome Site General Manager from whom he/she receives a delegation on HSE scope.
The HSE manager will have full responsibility on a team of HSE officers / advisors: Currently 3-4 individuals, up to 6 according Framatome activities ramp-up and schedule.
Missions:
- Be accountable on Occupational Safety policy, standards, behaviours and results securing a safe place of work for everyone.
- Elaborate, deploy and follow-up the yearly and 3-years HSE strategy to maintain the highest HPC and Framatome standards for Occupational Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency management, Environment protection, and Security (people, assets and data).
- Elaborate, implement, review and maintain HSE and Emergency processes, procedures and routines to achieve high levels of performance on site.
- Elaborate and deploy initiatives to promote HSE policy and behaviours across Framatome and subcontractors team on site.
- Monitor compliance with HSE standards (including UK government rules and regulations) and behaviours on a day-to-day basis within Framatome scope.
- Produce and follow up HSE key performance indicators and required reporting to the Framatome management and the customer.
- Lead the Occupational Safety Improvement Plan: Define, issue, track and execute.
- Lead & chair the Site Health & Environment Leadership Meeting with the customer on Framatome scope.
- Promote and contribute to Gemba Walks team objectives, focusing on HSE related Gembas.
- Secure all mandatory HSE related documentation is produced, reviewed and available at the requested level: Framatome and its subcontractors documentation including especially Risk Assessments and Methods Statements.
- Build relationships and secure interfaces with Framatome HSE Directorate, Framatome subcontractors, Framatome Ltd HSE team, HPC Principal Contractor and customer and even other HPC Tier Ones teams, to identify and deploy best practices to improve HSE behaviours and results within HPC.
- Represent Framatome on HSE aspects and related meetings in coordination with Site Management.
- Ensure mandatory and appropriate training is delivered to the Framatome team and workers on site, focusing on occupational safety and behaviours: contribute to training plan and its execution.
- Promote, monitor, and secure adequate inputs to the site observations and incident reporting system.
- Contribute to Nuclear Safety Framatome team objectives: Promote adequate trainings, behaviours, and reporting lines.
- As a manager, contribute to Framatome Quality, Delivery and Costs objectives on site and for construction with accountability on HSE scope.
- Manage HSE budget, especially team recruitment and staffing.
- Contribute to protect Framatome interests not only in Occupational Safety scope but with a larger view on economic and contractual aspects
To be considered, we require the following qualification, skills and experience:
- Graduate level or significant HSE qualification: Appropriate diploma / certificates (IOSH or CITB or NEBOSH).
- A wealth of experience working as an Occupational Health & Safety Manager.
Desirable:
- Engineering degree (any discipline).
- Experience of working in construction projects.
- Experience of international and multicultural environment.
- Ability to work and interact in French.
