Job description
The Responsible Designer (RD) must prepare the integration of the design to meet the maturity expected for the commissioning milestones, named IPCM (Intermediate Project Configuration Milestones) and must be organized according to the IPCM strategy and IPCM configuration boards.
A new team is created at ED (level of Directorate) named IPCM integration team (2IT) This team will oversee:
- Contributing with NNB to the IPCM strategy, planning and content.
- Building the processes, tools to manage the transversal maturity of elementary systems.
- Reviewing with the sequence leaders that the budget and planning for the elementary systems is consistent with the IPCM sequence.
- Deliver the maturity of the elementary systems maturity, by respecting the IPCM process and tools.
As a System Integrator I&C/Electrical, you will:
- Be responsible for the IPCM sequence from the preparation of the electrical and I&C systems design maturity review to the integration of the potential design modification before during and after commissioning:
o The maturity review process: KoM, roadmap, preparation, coordination of disciplines (3 main parts: Systems/Equipment /MEH), meeting and actions plan follow up.
o The maturity of the design for the gate review of the project.
o The risk assessment with the disciplines on remaining OP and the full implementation of all design change required for the commissioning (as per freeze).
o The consistency of the document and data necessary to produce commissioning documentation and commissioning on site-activities by commissioning engineering.
o The production and the completion of the IPCM system delivery package
o The consistency between I&C SPPA & Elec (Load list) and systems to be commissioned.
o Support to the Commissioning Engineering Team and follow up impacts on the design.
- Interact with the disciplines, the sequences and the technical direction.
- Ensure the treatment of open points, and the schedule of the activities to get the maturity of the systems, liaising with the Control tower (project priorities, organizational issues) and technical direction (technical issues)
- Propose priorities and schedule to the sequence leaders as the interface is organized with them and report to the management of 2IT to make decision by the project.
- Have a good understanding of technical issues and proposing solutions to respect the planning of the project in respecting safety and referential, but also to reach the optimal design configuration to start the commissioning of the systems on time in the best conditions.
- Lead maturity review of his systems, define a planning for their maturity, follow up them.
- Ensure the compliance of the L4 planning of the disciplines with the relevant sequence leads and the L4 planning of the IPCM sequence.
- Report to the management of 2IT.
Profile
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years in nuclear plant design with an experience on design and/or commissioning of electrical or I&C system.
- Technical expertise in one of the 2 disciplines: I&C or electrical systems (having both knowledge is appreciated)
- Ability to lead and manage technical projects in a transverse organization.
- Proficiency in impact analysis and strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills.
Mechanical Engineer with minimum 5 years’ experience.
