Job description
The Associate Vice President (AVP) Business is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving the strategic and operational performance of Framatome Limited’s business lines. Reporting directly to the COO, the AVP Business provides visionary leadership, oversees the Head of Business Lines, and ensures the alignment of business objectives with the company’s overall strategy. This role is pivotal in fostering growth, operational excellence, continuous improvements and customer satisfaction across all business segments. Deputise for the COO as required. The AVP Business is working closely and ensure alignment with the AVP Functional Delivery on all relevant matters. The position requires exercising a high degree of autonomy in problem solving and decision making.
Profile
What will you be doing?
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies in alignment with Framatome Limited’s vision and objectives.
- Collaborate with the COO and executive team to set long-term goals and identify new business opportunities.
- Lead the annual business planning process for all business lines (budget, 4 yr plan, etc.).
- Align with the AVP Functional Delivery to that ensure business intent will meet ability to deliver efficient projects.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the performance of all business lines, ensuring delivery of financial, operational, and customer targets.
- Support cost and lead time reduction initiatives.
- Champion QHSE excellence in all business areas.
- Serve as the line manager for the Head of Business Lines, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities in collaboration with the CSO and account managers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Represent Framatome Limited.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets for business lines.
- Drive profitability and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular business performance reports to the COO and executive committee.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and develop the Head of Business Lines, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organisation.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the business lines.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure all business activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate business risks.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in a senior management role within the energy, engineering, or industrial sectors; nuclear industry experience is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex business operations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L responsibility (ideally in excess of £10M per year).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work with multinational stakeholders (France, Germany, US)
