Job description
We are seeking a Fabricator to join our team in Avonmouth.
This role will support the delivery of key projects within the nuclear sector, working in a safety-focused environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Be Doing :
Support the delivery of manufacturing scopes of work through fabrication/welding and associated workshop activities ensuring business needs and objectives are satisfied.
• Understand and interpret engineering drawings to produce high-integrity Stainless Steel fabrications within the nuclear sector.
• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Attend Daily Action Brief ensuring all daily risks and activities are throroughly understood.
• Provide assistance in the continuous development of fabrication and welding processes / procedures.
• Ensure workshop activities instructed by Workshop Supervisor / Production Manager are completed in accordance with workshop schedule.
• Provide input with internal NCRs and Observations when requested.
• Work closely with other workshop staff i.e. Welders, General Operatives, Storeman, Quality Inspectors.
Profile
What are we looking for?
We're interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
• Proven knowledge and experience of producing Stainless Steel / Carbon Steel weld configurations and material preparation as required.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Competent in reading, understanding and interpreting engineering drawings / weld maps / specifications.
• Experience in working to processes, procedures and specifications.
• Questioning attitude.
• Good team working skills.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team as well as under own initiative with a can-do attitude.
