Aufgabenbeschreibung

For our Karlstein am Main location, we are looking for a Process Engineer for the “Containment Monitoring & Gas Treatment Systems” unit. In addition to your day-to-day business as a process engineer, it is also planned that you will work as a Licensing Manager in various Isotopes Production Systems (IPS) projects.

  • Process Engineering: 
    Your mission is to support the project manager in all phases of studies, construction, and commissioning of Containment Safety systems.
    • Independently creating system, process, and execution documents
    • Responsible for sizing mechanical components. Creating sizing data sheets as a basis for component orders and handling delivery scope
    • Independently creating risk assessments and operating instructions
    • Developing presentation materials and documenting technical solutions for presentation to customers and authorities
    • Creating customer offers on one's own responsibility
    • Handling D-projects as a technical lead
    • Technical management of R&D projects for qualifying new systems and components in the field of severe incidents
    • Testing and qualification of Containment Safety systems
  • Licensing Manager:
    Your mission is to support the project manager in all phases of studies, construction, and commissioning to ensure the control of risks and obtaining the necessary authorizations at each stage of the project. Coordination with the various licensing and permitting authorities is an essential element of the project’s success.
    This support for the operational management of the project involves:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all related nuclear authorities involved in the project.
    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Coordinate with authorities the licensing roadmap, ensure step by step communications, ensure swift reply to comments and concerns raised.
    • Ensure, the completeness of all risks assessment,
    • Participate to project progress meeting and report risks and progress during Gates Review (GR),
    • Ensure completeness in due time of the requirements matrix, for the scope of work dedicated to nuclear safety,
    • Review all change requests in order to assess their impact on nuclear safety and nuclear licensing,
    • Plan / Coordinate / Manage the project deliverables of the nuclear safety and licensing scope of work.
    • Ensure completeness of the risks’ identification based on the experiences of similar projects),
    • Ensure an adequate risk mitigation plan, to the optimum required level. “Optimum” means to analyse the  organizational, quality, cost and schedule impacts

Anforderungen

  • You have a degree (Diploma/Masters) in energy or process engineering, chemical engineering or industrial engineering with a wealth of experience in nuclear safety management.
  • You have very good English language skills, both written and spoken. German is a plus.
  • Your strengths include initiative, decision-making and assertiveness, the ability to work in a team, sociability and negotiating skills.
  • Oriented stakeholder, pro-active, you know how to communicate and are endowed with a team spirit that comes in a great ability to embark teams in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Agile and with a transversal vision, you have real qualities of mind synthesis, tenacity, and an objective/ results orientation. You necessarily enjoy working in team, in project mode.
  • High resilience; Flexibility; Solution-oriented, pragmatic “hands-on” way of working
  • Extensive Knowledge of VVER technology is mandatory.
