The Fuel BU is a world leader in the manufacture of fuels for nuclear power plants and research reactors in the world with R&D, design and plant centers on the American and European continent.
Framatome is implementing a new factory for the assembly of fuels for the operation of nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom. This plant will be built in phases to meet short, medium and long-term objectives.

The investment project is led by Framatome and must be innovative to meet the challenges of the company and the United Kingdom.

Job description

Your mission is to support the project manager to implement a new IMS to a new subsidiary of Framatome, to manage the project quality from design to commissioning, and to support the project team on assessing and supervising contractors and suppliers.

You will be directly managed by the Project Manager, responsible for the overall project.

The majority of the project activities will take place in UK where the site is located and with limited travels to France or Germany.

Mission Description

On a day-to-day basis, employment requires all or part of the following significant activities:

 For the project quality:

  • Ensure overall project quality performance
  • Provide support to the Project Management in mastering the quality and/or regulatory requirements of the project, notably by participating in the definition of the applicable quality requirements through contract analysis
  • Participate in project quality risk and opportunity analysis and propose associated action plans
  • Monitor the consistency and application of quality documentation (for manufacturing and/or assembly of the factory) to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met
  • Contribute to and/or lead variation management activities
  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders on project quality topics
  • Support the deployment of quality OPEX tools for the project
  •   Participate in audits and ensure their successful completion
  • Provide support for inspections
  • Manage the authorized bodies and the safety authority according to the needs of the project

For the Integrated Managed System:

  • Perform and promote the implementation of IMS and define its objectives
  • Coordinate process reviews, and lead the entity management review to assess the performance of the integrated management system
  • Manage and/or validate the internal audit program
  • Manage the implementation and follow-up of audits (second and third parties) within its operational scope
  • Validate the content of awareness and training materials for Quality Culture
  • Check the consistency of process definitions and validate them,
  • If required, participate in the evaluation of the team’s performance as part of HR processes (annual interviews, mid-year interviews...) and contribute to the development of skills
  •  Ensure that changes in internal, contractual or regulatory requirements at Framatome are taken into account within the integrated management system.

Profile

Profile

  • Will have a demonstrable record of experience in IMS implementation and/or project quality management
  • 7 years + in contributing or implementing an IMS
  • 4 years + in contributing or managing a project quality system,
  • Will have a strong autonomy and capable to deliver on its own an IMS and/or a project quality system, with support of Framatome group knowledge database
  • Must be rigorous
  • Enjoy to work in a project team

Candidates with specific experience of contractors / suppliers quality management will be a plus, but it’s not mandatory.

 

Position Location: Bristol, England at the beginning of the project, and transfer at site (30 kms from Bristol) in due time.

Professional travels: Europe for few days (mostly France and Germany)

 

Candidate criteria

  • Minimum level of education required
  • Master degree in quality, a technical discipline or engineering
  • Experienced (7 years +)
