As part of the JDO I&C Team, the HSL Specialist is responsible for the specification and verification of I&C hardwired interfaces, as well as the preparation, execution and supervision of Verification & Validation (V&V) activities. The JDO I&C team is an integrated team bringing together the Responsible Designer (RD) and the Intelligent Customer (NNB Licensee), working collaboratively to deliver I&C engineering activities for the HPC project during the Commissionning phase. Within this integrated organisation, design responsibility remains with the Responsible Designer (RD). The HSL Specialist will therefore act on behalf of the RD and play a key role in the I&C design sequence.
The role requires strong technical expertise in I&C engineering, with a focus on ensuring design consistency, compliance with functional requirements and the quality of software testing activities. o Identification and clarification of open points with functional specification engineers.
o Definition and application of design rules considering functional, technical and project constraints.
o Development of optimisation strategies to ensure compliance with functional response time requirements.
· Ensure consistency between hardwired interface specifications and I&C software programming, particularly regarding elementary function blocks interfacing with sensors and actuators (standard diagrams).
·Contribute to project configuration management through the analysis and assessment of deviation and modification tickets.
·Collaborate with system engineers, software designers and other I&C stakeholders to ensure consistency and traceability of design requirements.
- Prepare and produce V&V test books and associated test procedures in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Execute I&C software verification and validation tests using the relevant test platforms and environments.
- Perform Level 1 and Level 2 parameter verification to ensure compliance with design specifications and functional requirements.
- Review and verify test reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, traceability and compliance with applicable V&V procedures.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior V&V engineers during test preparation and execution.
- Analyse test findings, identify anomalies and contribute to their resolution in collaboration with concerned stakeholders etc
