Job description
We are seeking a General Operative to join our team in Avonmouth.
This role will support the delivery of key projects within the nuclear sector, working in a safety-focused environment where quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.
What You'll Be Doing :
Support manufacturing activities on the workshop floor within Avonmouth in line with business targets and objectives.
• Liaise with Storeman, Manufacturing Team Leader and Production Manager ensuring manufacturing activities are supported sufficiently.
• Attend Daily Action Brief ensuring all daily risks and activities are throroughly understood.
• Assist with the movement of materials and producrs around all units of workshop.
• Provide assistance with routine maintenance activities within Framatome group.
• Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Provide assistance in the development of operational processes and procedures.
• Deliver / collect goods or equipment from sub-contractors and suppliers on an ad hoc basis.
Key Outputs:
• Provide necessary support to Welders / Fabricators / Storeman and the Manufacturing Support team when needed.
• Loading and unloading of goods that are delivered or released from the workshop.
• Comply and align with Goods-In / Goods-Out procedure.
• Comply and align with all risk assessments associated with work undertaken.
• Ensure all equipment is PAT tested and recorded througout the workshop.
Profile

• Previous experience with operating a Forklift Truck.
• Carries full driving license with clean record.
• Experience in working to processes, procedures and specifications.
• Questioning attitude.
• Good team working skills.
• Organised with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team as well as under own initiative with a can-do attitude.
