In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.
Due to our ongoing growth, we are recruiting a Technical Coordinator to join our Quality Team in Avonmouth.
The Technical Co-Ordinator supports the Quality Process by compiling, reviewing and co-ordinating documentation submitted as part of project life time quality records (LTQR) or project process/procedure/Instruction.
Technical Co-Ordinators have an interdepartmental involvement in the transition and application of new systems and software. This supports the continual improvement objectives of the business.
To provide administration and support service to the manufacturing & QA-QC Depts for the project/contract as required.
Co-ordinate and support Document Controllers in the submission of deliverables and formal communications such as client notification for inspections
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Document control of inspectors records including the co-ordination for rework.
- Co-ordinate client comments/responses on quality records with stakeholders.
- Keeping trackers for all quality records reviewed/submitted and comments raised.
- Co-ordinate and control inspection records – Aim to improve quality/consistency of reporting
- Review, compile, co-ordinate & archive Life time Quality Records (LTQR) and Quality Release Certificates (QRC).
- Support manufacture team in the preparation of Weld Data Sheets and the general administration for Weld-Eye.
- Setting up systems for performance management i.e. Create, monitor and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) on the Right First-Time (RFT) objectives with document submissions.
- Verification of radiograph count and reports prior to transfer to Client.
- Effectively organise and archive physical and digital records – Aim to reduce paper-based records.
- Review of internal documentation. i.e. internal instructions/procedures.
- Update documents where technical and non-technical edit is required and re-issue for submission.
- Communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, Project Engineers and subcontractors surrounding relevant edits required for upload
- Reviewing electronic records that are held on a standalone system
To be considered the following qualification, skills and experience:
- NVQ 2 or equivalent.
- Proven experience in document control and/or administration.
- Good understanding of document management systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft software and IT in general.
- Lead and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Enthusiastic about working within a highly skilled industrial and office environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presenting.
- Able to demonstrate accountability for their own actions and take responsibility.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
Desired Attributes:
- Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
- A- Levels in Science, Maths, IT or English
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Qualification.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding of welding.
- Understanding of engineering principles.
- Understanding how to read Engineering Drawings and Weld Maps.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing.
In return, we are offering a salary of between £27,000 - £33,000 per annum (negotiable) plus excellent benefits to include but not limited to:
