Job description
The SZC HD ultimate diesel generator (UDG) is a First Of A Kind solution and has transferred from replicated to adapted scope. As a result of this change the HD building Design which houses the UDG division is now at a significant risk of modifications to accommodate the new equipment. This requires a specific organisation to secure the HD design consistency.
The objective of this role is to assume responsibility for the End to End (E2E) design integration of the HD building (Civils, MEH, Equipment, Electrical, I&C, Systems, Hazards) and lead the NSA Contractor design management process arising from FOAK UDG design development.
The scope of the HD Design Integration Lead is as follows:
· Management of HD Building interfaces including integration of the Turnkey supplier impacts and related building scopes impact
· Responsible for E2E Design integration of the HD building
The key duties of this role are as follows:
· Engage with the relevant stakeholders to identify the key interfaces, assess the needs for realignment as a result of the FOAK changes and develop mitigations or recommendations
· Responsible for technical management, building design integration and discipline & inter-sequence co-ordination (including Diesels contracts, Civils, SSW & Anchorage, layout, MEH, Electrical, I&C, etc)
· End-to-End responsibility for HD building design integration. NOTE: All disciplines remain accountable for all deliverables and scope under their remit and will continue to deliver to the agreed schedules. The HD Design Integration Lead must ensure that the agreed schedules are consistent to limit and/or mitigate the risk of intersequence rework, and keep an overview of the delivery progress of the HD Design
· Responsible for timely resolution of issues, risks, OPs, planned activities, and scope of work for HD Area
· In link with Programme team, Supports NSA Contractor Commercial team with additional scope definition and task reconciliation
· Actively works with configuration management, design authority and technical directorate in best for project decision
· Engage with the HPC Buildings organisation to ensure lessons learnt from HPC are captured and implemented into the SZC scope.
· Set up dedicated routines to ensure alignment between internal key stakeholder and employer, notably between Buildings and Diesel branches.
· Prepare jointly with the relevant stakeholders, and present required information to the appropriate governance (WCM, TDF, …)
· Manage the risks assessment of the HD Building based on the potential impacts (including but not limited to the FOAK UDG). Maintain a comprehensive list of all HD building interfaces and provide options for the project organisation to mitigate the risks identified.
