Job description
Framatome is implementing a modular plant for the assembly of fuels for the operation of nuclear power plants in the United Kingdom The investment project is led by Framatome and must be innovative to meet the challenges of the company and the United Kingdom.
This plant will be built in phases to meet short, medium and long-term objectives.
We are recruiting for a Senior Industrial Architect to support this project.
Your mission is to support a project manager in the management of the project using the tools of the investment project management guide available within the Fuel BU; you will adapt them in the technical management plan that you will establish for the execution of the construction project of this plant (SMF) in the UK. You are responsible for setting up methodologies and managing the scope of the project inclusive of technical interfaces, configurations and requirements.
The project includes the creation of a local structure, and especially the management of interfaces with all stakeholders. The majority of the project activity will take place in the country where the site is located (expatriation) after a first phase in France with travel.
The project is under the responsibility of the Industrial and Performance Department (IPD) of the Fuel BU and benefits from the expertise of its projects unit.
As part of your activities, you will report to the IPD Project Manager.
This support to the project development from design to start of operation will involve:
- Propose the architecture of the system and its tree structure by considering the cost, risk and planning aspects.
- Define the system specifications taking into account all the requirements, the verification and validation plan, and ensure the collection of proof related to these requirements,
- Define the project life cycle and in particular the operation. Plan, prepare and conduct technical and system reviews,
- Analyze request for changes of requirement during the project and analyze the impact of their integration within the projec
- Study the return of experiences on the ongoing project(s) and operations, in order to adapt, if necessary, certain technical solutions
- Manage the configuration of input, performance and interfaces dat
- Define the overall integration and commissioning plan, check that the subproducts assemble and that their mutual interfaces are checked,
- Coordinate a multidisciplinary team ensuring overall technical consistency
- Ensure adequation of costs, planning, quality and safety with the support of the project control team,
- Anticipate in the design all stages of the project, from manufacturing and construction to operation, and until decommissioning,
- Represent the company to stakeholders on technical topics and support Framatome in relationships with administrative authorities.
Profile
To be considered for this role, we require the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Process engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering master degree (or equivalent) with a wealth of experience and are passionate about engineering techniques and sciences.
- You have been a designer in several specialties previously and have held various positions such as head of workpackage, technical coordinator or system manager on projects of industrial facilities (plant and lab, reactors, manufacturing)
- Vast experience in technical management of plant projects, multi-discipline buildings and complexes.
