Edvance is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, an EPCC established in 2018 in charge of the design (basic design) and the realization (studies, procurement, erection, testing and commissioning) of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, Edvance is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and prepare the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
EPR-E is the new subsidiary of Edvance in the UK, in charge of the UK based scope for HPC and SZC EPR projects.
Job description
Engineering disciplines are outsourcing some of their activities in the form of workpackages or other type of services. In order to achieve this, they need a support acting as a contract manager who will be able to perform all the contract management and project management activities of these outsourced services. The Contract manager will liaise with the engineering disciplines who will draft the technical specification and act as an engineering lead. Strategy, training and general support and guidance for the outsourced activities will be given by the Engineering Supply Chain Lead. They will also work closely with procurement and commercial department of EPR-E.
Main activities of this position include:
- Contract / commercial management :
o Specification of the outsourced service with the support of both the engineering teams and the supply chain lead (workpackage, unit pricing or any other delivery model)
o Draft commercial part of the outsourced service
o Launch the call for bid, integrating the technical specification written by engineering teams
o Lead contractual discussions and clarifications with the potential suppliers
o Supplier evaluation during the bidding process
o Review and validate payment applications
- Project management
o Ensure contract specifications are followed by the contract holders
o Manage the technical surveillance of contract holder’s studies
o Manage the resolution of contractor technical queries or claims
o Organize and run progress meetings
- Risk management of the outsourced services
- Prepare and deliver reporting on financial and technical aspects
The role will be operationally and functionally attached to the head of discipline in EPR-E, working in support of all disciplines.

- Experience in design activities of large industrial projects
- Bachelor / Masters degree in a relevant field of engineering, preferably civil engineering
- Project management qualification and/or experience
- Contract management qualification
- Fluent english
Desirable qualifications, experience and skills:
- Working level of French
- Knowledge of general EPR engineering processes
