Job description
The role will be report to the UK Chief Sales Officer and lead the following key activities:
· Maintaining a positive safety culture and a drive for equity and social value
· Delivering growth across all EDF Existing Generation accounts in the UK in line with business targets
· Support and contribute to overseas growth via both importing and exporting capability, products, and services
· Taking ownership of the account management process for Existing Generation and co-ordinating the client relationship management plan
· Leading the Existing Generation team within the Sales function
The Head of Accounts role is client facing in finding, positioning, and securing strategic sales opportunities. The role holder will lead and develop a sales team focused on securing orders from existing and new commercial routes to market and they will provide leadership and direct line management.
The role will involve close liaison with colleagues in operations, the sales team and wider functions both in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver annual sales targets for Existing Generation accounts (Sizewell B, EDF Energy CTO, AGR fleet) in line with Framatome governance.
- Act as capture manager for new opportunities, overseeing bids and proposals with sales and operations teams.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure and grow sales.
- Develop and manage the Existing Generation account plan, coordinating with UK and international stakeholders (Germany, France, USA).
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team to achieve growth targets.
- Maintain supply chain and client relationships at all levels.
- Conduct regular account reviews, monitoring performance and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to plan and meet future resource needs.
- Represent Framatome at industry events, promoting services and thought leadership.
- Cross-sell the full Framatome service portfolio within the UK market.
- Create client-focused value propositions with operational teams.
- Track customer KPIs, feedback, and CRM data to monitor sales performance.
- Maintain and update Key Account Management and capture plans.
- Report on activities, share best practices, and coordinate EDF UK account activities across Framatome business units.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven sales or transferable experience in complex stakeholder environments, ideally within nuclear or other regulated sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the UK existing generation and wider nuclear market; OEM/operator experience desirable.
- Skilled in presenting at conferences, writing technical or promotional content, and advocating for nuclear’s role in net zero.
- Commercially astute, with a clear understanding of how sales impact revenue, backlog, and margin.
- Collaborative communicator, adept at building relationships across internal teams, clients, and competitors.
- Experienced in implementing varied sales and marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated potential for continued growth in the sector.
- IT proficient with strong presentation skills; media experience desirable.
- Experience leading small teams and supporting or writing proposals.
- Willing to travel across the UK and overseas.
- Technical background beneficial but not essential.
