La BU Fuel est également en charge de l'élaboration du zirconium et de ses alliages et commercialise aussi des services d'ingénierie et des services sur site associés au combustible.

Purpose of the Role
The Senior Business Development Analyst plays a key role in shaping the long-term strategic direction of the Fuel Business Unit (BU). The position is responsible for leading market and technology outlooks, building forward-looking scenarios, and assessing risks and opportunities with a consultant-like approach. The analyst also ensures the continuous evolution of the team’s strategic analysis methodologies and contributes to defining the BU’s long-term positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Strategic Analysis
- Lead the design and coordination of long-term market and technology outlooks (up to 20 years).
- Build scenarios and simulate risks/opportunities across market, geopolitical, and industrial dimensions, deriving implications for the BU.
- Contribute to defining the BU’s long-term strategic positioning in coordination with the Fuel Business Development Director and senior management.
- Provide timely, objective, and unbiased intelligence assessments covering a wide spectrum (technology, market, industrial, legal, geopolitical).
- Support negotiations and strategic decisions where the BU’s assets or positioning are at stake.
Methodology & Frameworks
- Develop, own, and evolve strategic governance tools such as market reviews, and opportunity papers to guide decision-making and ensure alignment with BU objectives.
- Apply and enhance methodological tools such as PESTEL, scenario building, SWOT, and competitive benchmarking to assess risks, opportunities, and long-term implications for the BU.
- Ensure high-level knowledge capitalization within the BU by facilitating the collection, development, and sharing of intellectual capital.
- Develop innovative approaches for identifying relevant sources of information and converting them into actionable insights.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of past strategies (internal and competitors) and translate lessons learned into future decision-making.
Networking & Representation
- Develop and maintain a broad network within the international nuclear community, participating in relevant conferences, working groups, and industry forums.
- Act as a key interface with internal and external stakeholders on fuel-related strategic topics.
- Represent the BU in external strategic or lobbying initiatives where required.
Governance & Leadership
- Support and challenge current business and technology models within the BU.
- Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of meeting agendas, Board contributions and preparation of talking points / key messages
- Promote “out-of-the-box” thinking and foster creativity in strategic workshops and decision-making processes.
Profile
Profile & Requirements
Background / Experience
- 10+ years of experience in strategic roles or similar (e.g. consultant-type analyses and expertise)
- International exposure
- Proven track record in market strategy development, product competitiveness assessment, and IP/portfolio management.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Deep understanding of the nuclear fuel market, BU fundamentals, and product lines.
- Strong knowledge of competitor business models, industrial footprints and market needs.
- Solid grasp of geopolitical, economic, and legal frameworks impacting the nuclear industry.

- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong synthesis skills.
- Ability to think beyond conventional models, challenge assumptions, and propose alternative strategies.
