Job description
The NS&E GL is accountable and responsible for:
• Working with the NS&E DM to ensure that safety is our top priority;
• Ensuring the quality of activities carried out across the four areas of the NS&E Discipline (including adherence to engineering manual, standards, processes, tools and methods);
• Internal interfaces with other parts of the Projects (HPC & SZC) Organisations in EPR-E, and external interfaces with multiple entities within the Clients (HPC & SZC) Organisations.
• Contributing to the Work Force Planning (WFP) and elaboration of Projects Task Orders (TOs), including definition of scope and associated budget, list of deliverables etc, for the NS&E scope of work;
• Ensuring that the staffing within the NS&E Discipline can meet the delivery requirements and is consistent with WFP and the budget constraints of HPC and SZC Projects;
• Management of the overall yearly budget (from HPC and SZC Projects) assigned to the delivery of activities by the NS&E Discipline.
• The delivery by the NS&E Discipline in accordance with planning and quality, including definition of priorities when/if needed;
• Informing the Projects Safety Managers/ Representatives of any risk, alert and technical issues on the NS&E scope of work;
• Providing the NS&E DM with input on potential risks and issues related to quality, workload, schedule, resources, competencies, budgets, etc.;
• Health and safety, work planning, succession management, quality assurance, skill development on the job, and budgets.
The NS&E GL will also be:
• Managing the relationship with all internal stakeholders (HPC and SZC Projects Counterparts, JDO-DT, Disciplines in Edvance and CNEPE, HR Correspondents for mother companies) and external stakeholders (Alliance Partners, NNB/SZC Co, Other Contractors) pertaining to the NS&E scope of activities;
• Managing the resources within NS&E as well as the recruitment of both mother company staff and partners by working with the NS&E DM to establish recruitment requirements, ensure timely review of CVs and selection decisions;
• Managing and developing technical competencies of NS&E staff: monitoring, follow up, planning for the future and making sure that the right training and tools are provided to all. Particular consideration should be given to the transfer of competencies between France and UK for HPC and SZC Projects;
• Providing pastoral care to all staff within the NS&E, including health and safety, wellbeing and creating a working environment consistent and aligned with the nuclear safety culture principles;
• Completing, for mother company staff, the required performance reviews and evaluations, professional development and objectives setting.
Profile
