Job description

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.

In particular, EDF EPR-E UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.

At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.

The Head of Schedule within EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) for the Hinkley Point C Project (Nuclear Island scope) will lead the Project Control (PC) -HPC Central Scheduling team, managing scheduling activities across the entire project scope, including EDVANCE SAS and EPR-E.

This role is based in the UK with frequent travels to France and involves both managerial and operational responsibilities.

Managerial:

Lead and manage the Central Scheduling team, ensuring effective staffing, training, and resource management for both the UK and France teams.
Monitor and oversee team performance, including team members from both local mother companies and partners, within the defined scheduling scope.
Handle all administrative aspects related to scheduling resources, including bookings and follow-ups.
Operational:

Oversee and direct the Project Control Cycle (PCC) from a scheduling perspective.
Responsible for the monthly HPC On-time Delivery KPI reporting at the corporate level.
Ensure timely and quality updates of all planning levels, including production and analysis of associated indicators.
Consolidate the List Of Documents (LOD) and manage L2 contractual and internal milestones monthly.
Administer the P6 scheduling software for the HPC project, including access rights and database management.
Recover and maintain project baselines monthly.
Manage the monthly publication and subsequent iterations with NNB.
Handle interface planning and produce monthly IOP files for injection.
Interfaces:

Serve as the main counterpart to NNB for all scheduling aspects.
Act as the senior-level entry point for all scheduler-related topics.
Be the primary contact for all Engineering departments and integrated teams regarding HPC-NI project controls.
Liaise with Edvance for all HPC scheduling topics and collaborate with the EPO (Edvance Project Office) on scheduling matters.

Profile

To be considered the following qualifications, experience and skills are essential:

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and guide a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities, capable of working with multi-site teams and within a complex ecosystem.
• Proficiency in scheduling methods and tools, specifically Paladin and Primavera P6.
• Demonstrated autonomy, a proactive "can-do" attitude, and the ability to persuade and influence various stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize information effectively.
• Knowledge of the nuclear industry and its specific context is an asset.
