In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.
For our subsidiary business, EPR-E, which is joint venture between Framatome and EDF, we are looking to recruit a Design Configuration Engineer
The main activities of the Design Configuration Engineer are as follows:

  • Support the NI Configuration Engineers and Manager for managing activities and achieving Configuration team objectives.
  • Support to Preparation of Start of Commissioning Activities for the DT SoC Coordinator
  • Support to the Animation of the Design Change Process:
    o   Support in preparation UKDC training as required.
    o   Support in the preparation and running of Configuration Days
    o   Produce and analyze performance indicators and reporting (KPIs)
    o   Support in conducting audits to verify compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
    o   Support in the resolution of configuration-related incidents and issues/Non-Conformance
  • To coordinate or lead technical topics depending on project needs.
  • To participate in the arbitration and prioritisation of technical topics.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    o   Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
    o   Organize and lead workshops or meetings to discuss configuration management topics.
  • Support Animate the Design Change Process:
    o   Support in preparation UKDC training as required.
    o   Produce and analyse performance indicators and reporting (KPIs)
    o   Support in Conducting audits to verify compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
    o   Support in the resolution of configuration-related incidents and issues/Non-Conformances
  • Contribute to the production of deliverables that are the responsibility of the Configuration Management team.
  • Support to UKDC Database Administration if needed.
  • Support to Technical Direction Committee Preparations

This role is key in the management and running of the Edvance Design Change Process and contributes greatly to HPC engineering performance. It sits in the Configuration Management Team of the Edvance /EPRe HPC Technical Direction, with close collaboration with the Design Coordination, with close collaboration with the Design Coordination Team and Technical Team.

Profile

To be considered, the following qualifications, skills and experience are essential.

  • Degree Level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
    At least 5 years’ experience in engineering / leadership / project management.
  • Robust knowledge and extensive experience of the EPR design and engineering processes.
  • Good understanding of requirements and expectations of UK laws, regulations, nuclear industry operating experience and best practices.
  • Strong ability to understand complex technical topics and to produce accurate synthesis.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people engagement skills.
  • Experience in transverse technical coordination
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exemplary team and pastoral management skills.
  • Ability to set, achieve and maintain the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Fluent English.
     

Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Leadership experience in a highly regulated, technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of the French language.
  • Good overall technical background
